Foundations of Modern Project Management

  • Format:  Live Online
  • Next Session Dates:   Every week on Tuesday and Thursday, starting on 1/16/24 and ending on 2/1/24, from (6:00 PM – 8:00 PM) EST

This class is an introduction to the world of project management and will give students vital information and insights into seven basic areas of project management. Through an interactive discussion of the topics of a planning process group, defining the scope and creating a work breakdown structure, project scheduling management, project cost management, project quality management, and project resource management, you will come away with the foundation by which to build upon in order to be an effective leader in the dynamic world of project management.

Leading Projects Through Execution

  • Format:  Live Online
  • Next Session Dates:  Every week on Tuesday and Thursday, starting on 2/13/24 and ending on 2/29/24, from (6:00 PM to 8:00 PM) EST.

This class builds upon the foundation of project management covered in course 1 (Foundations of Modern Project Management) to give you valuable skills required in today’s ever-changing corporate project management environment. Through interactive discussions of the topics of stakeholder management, leading teams, finance, financial planning, and basic process improvement tools and techniques, you will come away with skills needed to execute against all the planning that has gone into the project plan.

Agile Project Management

  • Format: Live Online
  • Next Session Dates: Every week on Tuesday and Thursday, starting on 3/21/24, and ending on 4/9/24, from (6:00 PM to 8:00 PM) EST

Rounding out the series of project management courses in the USF Office of Corporate Training and Professional Education, this course builds upon the two previous courses (Foundations of Modern Project Management and Leading Projects through Execution) to give you valuable skills related to the exciting world of “agile project management”. In this course, you will examine the seven steps of the agile process, how the agile process encourages accountability, teamwork, and organization from team members and how to be a project manager in an agile environment.

  • Next Session Dates:   Every week on Tuesday and Thursday, starting on 4/16/24 and ending on 5/2/24, from (6:00 PM – 8:00 PM) EST

Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification

  • Format:  Live Online
  • Next Session Dates:   Every week on Saturday, starting on 4/27/24 and ending on 6/15/24 from (9:00 AM – 1:00 PM) EST

Lean Six Sigma Black Belts act as change agents in the workplace and bring considerable problem-solving and project management expertise to an organization. To positively impact a business black belts must be able to leverage the tools and concepts in their lean six sigma “toolbox” to successfully lead projects that deliver meaningful results to the organization.
