Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification

  • Format: Self-pace (pre-recorded) Online
  • Next Session Dates: Continuous, access is available for 30 days after registration
  • Instructor: Dr. Shane Wentz

This is a great introduction to the exciting world of continuous improvement. Perfect for recent college graduates eager to learn more about one of the hottest topics in corporate America and for working adults who want an introduction to something that is being used by businesses such as Toyota, Ford, Siemens, Amazon, Nike, and even small nonprofit organizations.

Participants will be introduced to topics such as the history of continuous improvement, empowering employees, improving processes, continuous improvement principles, continuous improvement methods, continuous improvement concepts, process mapping, Kaizen, and Lean (a continuous improvement philosophy).

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification

  • Format: Live Online
  • Next Session Dates: Every Tuesday beginning March 28th through May 30th from 6p-9p EST
  • Instructors:  Ernie Arboles and Dr. Shane Wentz

This program focuses on managing quality projects utilizing the fundamentals of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies. Lean topics include the concepts of the elimination of waste and the reduction of cycle time in organizational processes. Six Sigma principles consist of problem-solving techniques, data collection, and analysis, reduction of process variation, process capability and control, and continual improvement. 

Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive the University of South Florida’s Green Belt certification. To receive certification, students must successfully complete a project, give a presentation of their final storyboard, meet attendance requirements and pass a series of tests.

Leading Projects through Execution

  • Format:  Live Online
  • Next Session Dates:   This class meets every Tuesday and Thursday beginning February 7th  and ending on February 23rd from 6p-8p EST
  • Instructors:  Dr. Shane Wentz and Susie Wentz

This class builds upon the foundation of project management covered in course 1 (Foundations of Modern Project Management) to give you valuable skills required in today’s ever-changing corporate project management environment. Through interactive discussions of the topics of stakeholder management, leading teams, finance, financial planning, and basic process improvement tools and techniques, you will come away with skills needed to execute against all the planning that has gone into the project plan.

The class will consist of live online lectures in addition to applying practical applications learned throughout the course in the form of elements of a project.

Agile Project Management

  • Format:  Live Online
  • Next Session Dates:  This class meets every Tuesday and Thursday beginning March 7th and ending on March 23rd from 6p-8p EST
  • Instructors:  Dr. Shane Wentz and Susie Wentz

This course builds upon the two previous courses (Foundations of Modern Project Management and Leading Projects through Execution) to give you valuable skills related to the exciting world of “agile project management”. In this course, you will examine the seven steps of the agile process, how the agile process encourages accountability, teamwork, and organization from team members and how to be a project manager in an agile environment.

The class will consist of live online lectures in addition to applying practical applications learned throughout the course in the form of elements of a project.

Modern Management Tools Certificate

  • Format: Self-pace (pre-recorded) Online

This certificate provides the necessary skills and knowledge demanded in a leadership role today. You will gain the practical tools and techniques that can transform you from a good manager to an exceptional one. Topics include: Modern Marketing, Project Management, HR Concepts, Finance Concepts, Process Improvement and Data Analysis.
